About Us

We are “Dan the Canvas Man Mobile Boat Tops & Upholstery,” otherwise known as “The Canvas Man.” The Canvas Man employs about ten people and has been in business for eighteen years. We specialize in manufacturing boat tops as well as manufacturing or recovering boat seats, furniture, bench seating, auto upholstery and repairs in all the upholstery fields. We have two locations with  one in the business section of Kamloops and the other on the beautiful Shuswap Lake at Captain's Village Marina. 

Dan Tremblay, owner of the Canvas Man for 18 years, learned the trade as a young man from his father. He is experienced in all related fields with a BC journeyman's certificate. Dan follows the latest trends in styles of marine canvas and upholstery, steering his customers towards the best quality materials for the job at hand. Quality is very important to everyone at The Canvas Man.  We ensure that extra efforts are always made in order that every job is completed to the highest of standards. This has resulted in continued repeat business from our customers.
